Erin Dickerson is the baker and creative genius behind Sweetie’s Bakery. A Mom of two boys, located in North DFW. She is not your regular cookie lady, she is a true artist and you better believe I am not her only groupie.

Every single cookie, cake, and cupcake she makes is absolutely gorgeous. They are so beautiful that it makes you think twice before you take a bite but once you try them … boom flavor explosion. Everything she makes is as beautiful as they are delicious.

She has a great eye for detail and always sprinkles a little bit of magic on all her designs. She takes her clients’ rough ideas and transforms them into edible cuteness! Being a designer myself, I have developed a great respect for talented people like Erin that push themselves every day to create new concepts and translate rough ideas into something beautiful.

What is that one tv show that always makes you cry?

Schitt’s Creek but mostly crying from laughter!

I am personally obsessed with your cookies and your designs (you already know that lol). Tell us more about your creative and design process?

I start my creative process by taking all the customers’ requests into consideration including colors and theme wanted. I then get inspiration from social media, fashion, art, and so many other things. I then take all the inspiration gathered and come up with what shapes and colors I would like to use and rough sketch it out.

What is the one thing you do for yourself every day? and the one thing you do for your business?

I remember to breathe and tell myself it is okay to say no sometimes. The one thing I do for my business continues to think about how I can be better and how I can grow.

What is the hardest thing you have had to do or the biggest sacrifice you have had to do to make your business happen?

The hardest thing is time spent away from my kids and husband to make my business grow.

What are you most scared of?

I am most scared of not being successful enough to myself. I am my biggest critic.

What do you want your children to see when they look at their mom?

A woman who is strong and will do anything for them.

What is the elevator pitch for Sweetie’s Bakery?

Who would say no to something beautiful and delicious? No one! and that is why Sweetie’s Bakery is the best. I have created a product that looks too good to eat and then people try it and are blown away that something so pretty could taste so good too!

What is your favorite product in your portfolio?

My favorite product is my curated Sweet Graze Boxes. You get to taste a little bit of everything in one box. I also love creating them!

What are the goals for 2021 for your business?

My biggest goal is to build my cake portfolio. Specifically wedding and shower cakes.

What is the next project you are working on?

I will be launching curated Birthday Boxes that would be the perfect gift and can be customized! They will have cupcakes, my popular decorated sugar cookies, cakesicles, and so many other fun candies and desserts!
